Itinerary

Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to your stunning hotel, located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city. After settling in, your Peruvian adventure begins with a private cooking demonstration by one of the most prominent Peruvian chefs in the world, followed by dinner.

Westin Lima (5*) or Similar

After breakfast, catch a morning flight to Cuzco. Upon arriving, continue to a stunning lagoon for a private gourmet picnic set against the stunning backdrop of the Peruvian Andes. Later, continue to Chinchero, a village famous for the extraordinary beauty and quality of its textiles. Visit a weavers’ workshop established 28 years ago to motivate the younger generations of women to learn from their elders and connect them to this ancestral art. In the late afternoon, arrive at your stunning hotel in the Sacred Valley.

This morning brings the opportunity to continue exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Start by visting Pisac, a tranquil place where Inca and colonial influences have reached a perfect balance resulting in the unique way of life of the local population. Later, continue to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town once guarded by a massive fortress. Discover this large archaeological complex and see where royal Inca delegations used to stop on long journeys.

After breakfast, board a stunning train bound for Aguas Calientes, the entry point for Machu Picchu. Prepare to be bowled over by the stunning views along the way. In the afternoon, explore the enigmatic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Follow in the footsteps in the ancient Incas as you discover the magic of the citadel. Be stunned by the Intihuatana (the Sun Dial), the Sacred Plaza and the Temple of the Sun. Marvel at the spectacular natural landscapes and the energy of the enigmatic structures. In the afternoon, return to Machu Picchu Pueblo to spend the night.

Wake up early for a morning walk to the Sun Gate to watch the sun come up over the ancient Inca ruins – a spectacle not to be missed. Before returning to Cuzco, visit the Spectacled Bear Project for a biologist-led tour. Later, step aboard a luxury train once again, this time to return to Cuzco. Here, check into a beautiful and historic monastery hotel.

Begin the morning with an inspiring visit to Qorikancha (meaning Golden Temple in the native Quechua language), dedicated to the worship of the Sun God. Then, stroll through the picturesque Main Square, taking in the cathedral with its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cuzco School of the 17th and 18th centuries. Join a chef for a Pachamanca lunch in a former Inca palace and see how this intricate dish is made. Explore the city on your own in the afternoon before regrouping for a dinner in the lovely grounds of the hotel.

The day begins with the journey back to Lima. Once there, explore the San Isidro district, home to one of the most important private collections of colonial art in the world. Get the insights and stories behind each work directly from the owners of the collection. Dinner tonight will be in a restaurant considered one of the best restaurants in the world, an experience not to be missed.
