After arriving in San Francisco you’ll be transferred to Napa Valley, where you’ll have the afternoon to yourself. Spend the time settling into your luxury hotel or explore the gorgeous countryside that surrounds it. In the evening, enjoy a private welcome reception and dinner.

All prepared meals will go through the scrutiny of a judge panel which will bestow the award. In the evening enjoy dinner at the award-winning restaurant Botegga by Michael Chiarello.

Fourteen years (and $30 million) in the making, this winery is the brain-child of Darryl Sattui. The 100+ rooms were built from stones, bricks, lighting, and other elements that were carefully removed from existing structures in Italy, shipped to Napa and re-assembled by Italian stone-smiths, aided by a local crew. The entire evening combines Italian history and Napa winemaking, leaving you with a most unique story to bring home…. Guests are greeted by medieval trumpeters or battling swordsmen as they enter the castle gates, across the drawbridge. They enter into a world of authentic castle.
